About me

I’m a Mexican/Japanese-American Product Designer/Researcher based in the Central Coast, CA. I love research and facilitation as much as design and am passionate about designing products that build equity and dignity.

I have experience leading UX design/research teams and being at the helm of design within organizations that work to address complex social issues. I’m a proud generalist that can work end-to-end across the product life cycle.

I lead with thoughtfulness as much as imagination. From the designers, social impact leaders, and organizations I’ve been lucky to work with, I’ve learned invaluable lessons in ethical community engagement and expansive creative thinking.

In a past life, I was a visual design and operations lead in the art and social justice world. I led design at A Blade of Grass, a NY-based organization that partners with community-engaged artists enacting social change. Between establishing in-house design infrastructure and practices, and designing across print and digital, I led projects within a cross-functional team. My personal visual design work has been featured by the United Nations as part of their 2020 COVID-19 digital campaign, and the Center for Cultural Power.
